Active Ingredients

Each gram of cream contains:

• Clotrimazole: 10mg
• Gentamicin: 1mg, supplied as gentamicin sulfate
• Betamethasone dipropionate: 0.64mg

Each 10g tube therefore contains approximately 100mg of clotrimazole, gentamicin equivalent to 10mg and 6.4mg of betamethasone dipropionate.

What Silkron Is Used For

Silkron is a combination topical medicine intended for certain inflammatory skin conditions associated with susceptible fungal or bacterial infection. The exact cause of a skin condition should be assessed before treatment, because many unrelated conditions can produce similar symptoms.

Do not use Silkron simply for itching, acne, skin whitening, dark spots or an unidentified rash unless a qualified healthcare professional has recommended it.

Directions for Use

1. Clean and dry the affected area.
2. Apply a thin layer of cream to the affected skin.
3. Use only the amount and frequency stated in the enclosed leaflet or recommended by a doctor or pharmacist.
4. Wash your hands after application unless the hands are being treated.
5. Do not use for longer than recommended.

Do not apply a thick layer or use the cream more frequently in an attempt to obtain faster results.

Important Usage Restrictions

• Do not use on open wounds or severely damaged skin.

Do Not Use Silkron

Do not use this product if you are allergic to clotrimazole, gentamicin, betamethasone, another aminoglycoside antibiotic, another corticosteroid or any ingredient in the cream.

Do not use it for acne, rosacea, viral skin infections or another condition for which the product has not been prescribed or recommended.

Possible Side Effects

• Skin sensitivity
