Salonpas FAQ: Gel, Patches, Liniment, Ingredients & Safety
This FAQ answers the questions that become confusing when “Salonpas” is treated as one product. The Gel, Pain Relief Patches and Liniment sold here have different formulas, formats and directions.
For longer explanations, use the linked guides rather than treating a short answer as a substitute for the package leaflet.

Are Salonpas Gel, Patches and Liniment the same medicine?
No. They share the Salonpas brand but differ in formulation and application. The Gel contains methyl salicylate 15% and menthol 7%; the 20-piece Patch lists four active ingredients; the Liniment lists seven ingredient amounts on the current package. See the full ingredient comparison.
